Acting Out-When People Meet Jesus |
| Using dramas in your group accomplishes two goals. One, it communicates a message in a way thatâs less âpreachy,â so students might be more likely to listen in. Secondly, it involves your students in the ministry, giving them ownership over the program. This type of involvement is key to developing a core group of student leaders. To help meet these two goalsâand to help add some more fun to ministryâwe commissioned some dramas. The Acting Out series skits focus in on certain topics that youth leaders have told us are important to them. Actually, weâve just always wanted to âcommissionâ something and this seemed like as good a reason as any. These five humorous skits focus on what happens When People Meet Jesus. Am I reflecting Christ? Is my behavior helping or hindering? What can I do to show otherâs Godâs love?Acting OutâTough Topics skits:Window Shopping: Take a stand and ask out the girl you really likeâeven if she is kinda ugly. (For four people) Smart Alex: Fleeing from temptation. Or at least putting a sock in it. (For four or more people) A Change of Plans: Godâs forgiveness may only go so far. (For two people) Would You Like Anything Else With That? You can be a customer and still serve others. (For three people) I See Him in Him: Would Jesus do a keg stand? (For up to five people)</ul? Get your students involved in fun, low risk activities. Along the way they just might learn something. |
